ABOUT OUR PACK
Pack 88 consists of Claypit Hill School girls and boys from Grades K through 5. The Pack is comprised of individual “Dens”, organized by Grade level. Dens are lead by adult volunteers and their adult parents / caretakers.
The Scouting program runs from September to June, with optional campouts and activities scheduled in the summer. The Pack meets at least once a month and Dens meet once or twice a month, typically on weeknights, at the Scout House at Wayland Town Beach. Way less of a commitment than soccer and baseball!
Throughout the year we hold various exciting events, activities, and campouts. Past campout spots have included our Sudbury Nobscot Scout Reservation, Museum of Science, WooSox baseball stadium center field, and even upon the U.S.S. Massachusetts Battleship!
SCOUT MOTTO
Living by the Scouting motto of "Do Your Best" is vital for both Pack 88 Scouts and their parents. In today's fast-paced world, it’s all too easy to become distracted by our busy lives—schedules, work commitments, and countless obligations can pull us in multiple directions. However, Scouting provides a unique chance to step back, connect with our families, and foster strong relationships.
Embracing the "Do Your Best" principle teaches children effort, resilience, and personal growth. Scouting encourages setting achievable goals, focusing on the journey and learning experiences rather than perfection. Events and community service foster teamwork and connection, allowing Pack 88 families to share stories and support each other while learning life skills. These shared moments create lasting memories.
Scouting also teaches that it's okay to stumble, promoting a growth mindset. By incorporating this motto into our lives, we strengthen family bonds and build community.
Join us in shaping future leaders, together!
